Facilities

Geoarchaeology Research Associates, Inc. (GRA) occupies two facilities in the greater New York City area. GRA’s offices are central to research facilities at Columbia University, New York University, the City University of New York, and the Research Libraries of the New York Public Library.

GRA’s main office is located in Yonkers overlooking the Hudson River in a renovated trolley barn built in 1900. A multi-station integrated Windows and Macintosh network provides exceptional computer graphics and high quality report production. Modeling and mapping capabilities include computer aided drafting (CAD) and geographic information systems (GIS) applications. Database and statistical applications allow project archaeologists to analyze, summarize, tabulate, and report project data in a consistent and expedient manner.

GRA’s laboratory space is located in Brooklyn. Artifacts and sediment samples are processed, analyzed, and stored at the facility.
