Stratigraphic model and site formation history

GRA was enlisted by the CRM group of the College of William and Mary to develop a stratigraphic model and site formation history of Archaic and Woodland sites in the estuarine zone of coastal Virginia. Very little work on Virginia's coastal sites and their depositional contexts had been done prior to that time. GRA also identified those landforms that were sensitive to site preservation in such settings, which helped guide pipeline planners in routing their lines.
